Bet You Cannot Miss
If you believe that New England will be victorious in the Super Bowl, let it ride on the prop bet regarding whether or not Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will smile during the game on camera.
A New England lead late in the game will produce a smile from Belichick or any head coach who understands the magnitude of the moment. There will be no smile if Seattle pulls out the win, but for those who believe the Patriots will be victorious, this is a risk worth taking.
Betting that he won’t smile is the safer wager, currently set at 1-2 odds, but the 3-2 payout for a grin is too good to pass up. Getting the veteran coach to crack a smile won’t be easy, but getting into the victory formation in the fourth quarter should be enough to warm his heart.
Let it ride on a Belichick smile, and he won’t be the only one grinning ear-to-ear when New England wins.
Bet To Avoid at All Costs
Despite all of the talk about the elite defense of the Seahawks and the standout stars for the Patriots, this will not be a defensive battle. Avoid at all costs betting the under, currently set at 48.5 points (20-23 odds.)
Both offensive units have been playing well this postseason. Not only did quarterback Tom Brady and New England rack up 35 and 45 points, respectively, in their two previous playoff games, but Seattle also managed to rack up 31 and 28 points, respectively, in its first two matchups.
There is no doubting the Seahawks defensive unit after finishing the season first against the pass and third against the run, but the Patriots are the hottest offensive team in the sport and will get the points needed to earn the victory.
Regardless of which team manages to pull out the win at the end, the skill on the offensive side of the ball for both teams will yield at least 49 total points. Instead, ride with the over.
Predicted Final Score: New England 27, Seattle 24
