Super Bowl Odds 2015: Patriots vs. Seahawks Halftime, National Anthem Prop Bets
Odds to predict what happens in-game during the 2015 Super Bowl generate plenty of interest but nothing moves the needle like halftime and national anthem odds
Fans should get everything they hoped for in the halftime spectacle with Katy Perry running the show, but everything from her attire to the set list of songs can be wagered on. Idina Menzel won't be out of the woods, either, as the singer of Sunday's Star Spangled Banner is also included in the Las Vegas lines.
If anything, though, these sorts of bets can prove to be the most tangible for non-experts looking to get in on the action. Anything can happen on the stage just like the football field but let's just say the variables are a bit more controlled for the following bets.

Super Bowl Prop Betting Preview
As the nationally encompassing event that it is, the Super Bowl will effectively attract a large chunk of the country—keeping millions of non-football fans at parties without much rooting interest.
Alas, that's where prop bets come in. And as you'd expect from a halftime show with as much anticipation as the one coming up, the bets to make are more intriguing and unpredictable than ever.
For instance: You might not have seen an available bet on the performer's hair color when Bruno Mars, Beyonce or The Who took the stage, but the arrival of Perry just shakes everything up.

The eccentric singer-songwriter has 2-1 odds to come out in her natural black/brown hair but considering the stage and her personality, going with something outlandish should be expected from Perry. Who knows—maybe she'll change hair colors during the performance.
The hair color bet is pretty straightforward but obscurity could creep in with other props—like predicting what sort of outfit Perry will begin her show with.
Perry donning a skirt or dress is nearly even money (4-5), while pants and shorts split 2-1 odds. But what if she comes out in something like what she posted below on Twitter? There's no way these can be considered pants:
"GUYS! Are you ready for the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show next week?! @katyperry pic.twitter.com/kiNw4qlnb4
— Katy Perry (@katyperryfan511) January 26, 2015"
If you're a Perry fanatic but those bets are too ambiguous for you, there are much more favorable options.
One bet worth taking is on either Roar or Firework to be the first song played in the performance. Both contain 3-2 odds, but the songs' relevance in recent pop culture should make one of the two the No. 1 tune come halftime.
Then, there's the practically free bet of an over/under for how many times Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will mention Perry by name in the first half. At 1.5, the over should be reached by the end of the first quarter with NBC sure to market the upcoming show.
So if you're an expert bettor looking to make aggressive plays, the halftime show is for you. If you're uninterested in the game itself but want to make a fun and safe bet, the halftime show is also for you.
Win or lose, you'll be able to attend any Super Bowl party with a unique rooting interest—just not in the game itself.
