WWE Royal Rumble 2015: Feuds That Will Continue Through Fast Lane

The Doctor Chris MuellerJan 26, 2015

Well, by most accounts, the Royal Rumble was a mixed bag. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship match was an instant classic, but the Rumble match itself was met with the ire of the crowd for the second year in a row.

Roman Reigns emerged victorious at the end of the night, but despite the warm reception he received during last year's event, he was not the one the fans wanted to see win.

Because the Rumble match is so long, the pay-per-view has only a handful of matches, so some feuds get left off the show.

WWE Fast Lane is the next event on the WWE calendar before WrestleMania, and judging from what we saw at RR, it should be easy to map out most of the card.

The Usos retained their titles once again after defeating The Miz and Damien Mizdow, but the real story is the tension that is growing between the star and his stunt double.

We got a glimpse of Mizdow's frustration on SmackDown and saw even more issues between the two during their title match and during the Rumble.

It's only a matter of time before they go their separate ways and have a big showdown. Some might say WrestleMania is the right time, but they might be better of breaking them up on Raw and having a match at Fast Lane.

Mizdow is too over with the crowd to wait much longer. Monday's Raw could see them have a falling out over what happened during the Battle Royal and set in motion their breakup.

The Divas title wasn't defended during the Royal Rumble, but the champion was in a tag team match with her sister against Natalya and Paige.

They put on a good effort in their bout, but it didn't feel like anything was resolved. Both Natalya and Paige would be good candidates for a shot at Nikki Bella's belt, but the best option would be to have both of them challenge for the title.

Having Nikki defend the title in a Triple Threat match would be much better than seeing another singles match we have seen a million times.

Brie has apparently decided to keep supporting her sister, but throwing her in the mix could make things more interesting. Regardless of what combination of women end up in the match, these four are nowhere near done with each other.

Total Divas has become the focal point of a lot of storylines in the division, but if they use the women who can actually wrestle, such as Paige and Natalya, it won't be so bad in the end.

Finally, the last feud that will likely carry over to Fast Lane is The Authority against the members of Team Cena from Survivor Series and Daniel Bryan.

John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback are all in need of something to do now that we know it will be Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the title at WM.

Cena and Rusev may be starting up a program after what happened Sunday following the PPV. However, Rusev and Ryback also had something in the works before Sunday, so it could go either way.

Ziggler could get another shot at the intercontinental title, as he never got his rematch, but it's more likely he will end up facing Seth Rollins or Big Show.

Daniel Bryan has also been in Triple H's cross hairs since his return, and judging from what we have seen, he may continue his feud with Kane until something better opens up.

There are numerous possibilities when it comes to the combinations of opponents between The Authority and all their rivals, but it won't change the fact that we've seen it all before.

Hopefully, WWE has something up its sleeve to make the show exciting, because based on the reactions on Twitter following Sunday's Rumble, they may have significantly fewer subscribers next month.

What do you think? Which feuds should carry over to Fast Lane, and which ones should be put to rest?
