PSG Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of January 26
As we enter the final week of the January transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain are still yet to make their first move in the winter market.
With their hands tied by UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) sanctions still, the French champions must sell in order to buy. However, no significant outgoing transfers appear to be close to happening and that means Les Parisiens are unlikely to be active before the end of the window.
The likes of Marquinhos, Clement Chantome and Ezequiel Lavezzi have all been suggested as names of players that could leave Parc des Princes this month, but it now appears unlikely that a replacement would come in if one of the three were to depart.
This is a PSG transfer news and rumours track for the week of January 26.

Clement Chantome

It is official. After 15 years at PSG, since arriving as a 12-year-old boy, youth academy graduate Clement Chantome has left the French capital and joined Girondins de Bordeaux.
As confirmed by PSG.fr, the 27-year-old French international departs Parc des Princes after 249 appearances and 10 goals in all competitions. Girondins.com also confirmed the player's arrival and signature of a contract until the summer of 2016.
Marquinhos
2 of 7
According to the Daily Mail’s Ben Nagle, English Premier League side Manchester United are interested in PSG’s Marquinhos. However, the report also states that the Red Devils would have to pay in excess of 50 million pounds to land the talented Brazilian defender.
The 20-year-old has found regular games hard to come by since Thiago Silva and David Luiz returned to full fitness, but he has still managed to make 13 Ligue 1 appearances this season and started 11 of those games.
That is not significantly less than regular starting central defenders Thiago Silva and David Luiz, but the player has had to make do by starting at right-back lately.
Considering how Marquinhos played at the start of the season and has been in-form since returning from the injury that curtailed his purple patch of form at the start of the campaign, PSG will not want to part with one of their most promising talents.
Judging by the comments made by the player’s agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, to Le Parisien (h/t ESPN FC), the player simply wants first-team football.
Adnan Januzaj
3 of 7
PSG have not been linked with many players in this transfer window, but Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj is one name that has been mentioned in connection with the French champions on multiple occasions.
The Telegraph's Mark Ogden is the latest to report on this, claiming that the Red Devils' boss Louis van Gaal will not allow the talented 19-year-old Belgian to leave for PSG or any other club this winter.
If PSG were to sell Lavezzi, then a wide man of Januzaj's potential quality would be the ideal replacement.
This one might be one to keep an eye on come the summer.
Andreas Pereira
4 of 7
Another Manchester United youngster reportedly of interest to PSG is Belgian-born Brazilian under-20 international Andreas Pereira.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder could be set to join the French giants on a free transfer this summer, according to the Daily Mail's Simon Jones, once his contract runs out at Old Trafford.
Pereira is apparently proving difficult to tie down to a new deal and could be an excellent capture for Les Parisiens if the move happens.
Adrien Rabiot
5 of 7
Since the start of the transfer window, PSG's teenage midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been linked with a number of loan moves away from the French capital.
The 19-year-old signed a new contract with the French champions back in October of last year, as revealed by PSG.fr.
However, the PSG No. 25's new deal is believed to have a clause in his contract that enables him to leave on a six-month loan spell for the remainder of this season without an option for the loaning club to buy him.
According to AS and Le 10 Sport (h/t Inside Spanish Football), La Liga outfit Sevilla are hoping to tie up a loan move for Rabiot in the next few days.
Assuming that the Spaniards are happy signing that they know PSG have not intention of selling permanently, the move could turn out to be a sensible one.
However, there is little to motivate Sevilla to play Rabiot week after week with no ability to stretch his stay past the end of the current campaign.
Emmanuel Adebayor
6 of 7
A surprise name to be linked with PSG this month is that of Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
According to the Daily Express' Charles Perrin, the French champions are interested in taking the unwanted Togolese international on loan until the end of the season.
Should Les Parisiens make that move, Ezequiel Lavezzi could be allowed to leave in order to bring in some fresh funds to boost a late bid to sign a new wide man.
Ezequiel Lavezzi
7 of 7
Lavezzi has regularly been linked with a move away from PSG this month.
After the player was sanctioned for his no-show during the French champions’ winter training break in Morocco, the Argentina international’s future has been in doubt.
The latest on Lavezzi, according to Eurosport.com, is that he is set to complete a 14 million pound move to Liverpool before the end of the month.
Per Le Parisien (h/t French Football Weekly), PSG coach Blanc has told his superiors that he would like Lavezzi to be sold this month.
