It was another busy week for United States men’s national team players abroad, highlighted by DeAndre Yedlin’s late call-up into the USMNT January camp and a report that Juan Agudelo may finally be ready to end his sabbatical from professional soccer.
There were also goals scored by Herculez Gomez and Sacha Kljestan and injury updates on Jose Torres and Cody Cropper.
Finally, Emerson Hyndman and Paul Arriola were part of the U.S. U20s' successful World Cup qualification this weekend.

The English Premier League Boys
DeAndre Yedlin was not in the 18 for Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, instead being called up as a late addition to the USMNT’s roster for this week’s friendly against Chile.

More details about Cody Cropper’s head injury also emerged on Monday, with MLSsoccer.com’s Greg Seltzer reporting that Cropper will be back in a few weeks after suffering a fractured eye socket in a youth match against Fulham .
Brad Guzan was rested as Shay Given was given the start for Aston Villa in their FA Cup match.
Geoff Cameron and his Stoke City side face Rochdale in the FA Cup on Monday.
Ze Germans
The Bundesliga is still on its winter break, but there was some news to report from off the field.

Juan Agudelo, who hasn’t played a competitive match since May 3 of last year, is reportedly considering an offer to join Bundesliga 2 outfit 1860 Munich, according to Goal.com’s Ives Galarcep.
Interestingly enough, another American at 1860 Munich is looking to leave the club, with forward Bobby Wood reiterating to Goal.com’s Jon Arnold his desire to move in the January transfer window.
In the English Championship
Emerson Hyndman was not in Fulham’s lineup, but he was with the U.S. U20s this week as they qualified for the 2015 U-20 World Cup with a 2-0 win over El Salvador in CONCACAF qualifying.

Tim Ream was Bolton Wanderers’ highest-rated outfield player in their 0-0 draw with Liverpool in FA Cup action.
Danny Williams went the distance for Reading in their 2-1 win over Cardiff City in the FA Cup.
Jonathan Spector made the bench but did not play for Birmingham City this weekend. Will Packwood was not in the 18 for the Blues.
Oguchi Onyewu was not in the 18 for Charlton Athletic.
Duane Holmes was not in the lineup for Huddersfield Town.
Eric Lichaj and Nottingham Forest did not play this weekend.
Elsewhere in Europe
Sacha Kljestan came off the bench for Anderlecht on Sunday in a 2-0 loss to Standard Liege but also picked up a brace in their 4-2 Belgian Cup win on Wednesday. The first goal can be seen at the start of the video below, and his second is at the 1:10 mark (h/t socceroverthere.com).
Aron Johannsson played 77 minutes for AZ Alkmaar in their 1-1 draw with PEC Zwolle.
Rubio Rubin played the final 25 minutes of Utrecht’s 2-2 draw with Groningen.
Alejandro Bedoya made the bench but did not play for Nantes this weekend.
Conor O’Brien and Wiener Neustadt are still on winter break.
South of the Border
Michael Orozco started for Puebla in their 0-0 draw with America. Ventura Alvarado was a 62nd-minute substitute for America. Herculez Gomez did not play for Puebla in the team's most recent outing, but he did pick up a goal in their midweek Copa MX victory. Greg Garza started for Tijuana and played the final 15 minutes in the Xolos’ 2-1 win over Tigres. Jose Torres did not play for Tigres. He is facing a three-month stint on the sidelines following back surgery. Omar Salgado also did not dress for Tigres.
Edgar Castillo started and played 65 minutes for Atlas in their 3-1 loss to Jaguares.
Alonso Hernandez did not dress for Monterrey.
