Chris Coghlan Making a Run at Rookie Of The Year
Rookie of the Year in the NL was in the hands of Colby Rasmus of the Cardinals not too long ago. Then the trade for Matt Holliday went through and he has seen his playing time cut from where it was.
A guy named Randy Wells of the Cubs was lights out on the mound during that time putting him in the picture. Now you have to add Andrew McCutchen into the picture as well with the numbers he has been putting up as of late. He seems to be the lone bright spot for the hopeless Pirates.
All three of these guys have performed well for their teams in their rookie campaign showing why they should be considered for the Rookie of the Year.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Now everyone has started to notice this little known rookie from the Florida Marlins who goes by the name of Chris Coghlan.
It seems to me that the Marlins always seem to find some surprise rookie who comes up to win the award as they have had the D-Train, Hanley, and now possibly Coghlan take home the hardware. I hadn't known who Coghlan was until this past weekend when he helped the Fins sweep the Phillies.
During that series, he performed like an animal going 8-14 with 2 doubles and 5 RBI and continuing his multi hit game streak to an impressive 8 games.
With the numbers he has been putting up and the impressive season he has put together ,the mysterious Coghlan could have an outsider's chance of bringing home the award once again for the Marlins.
This is why I love the game of baseball. You can have plenty of unknown players come up to the big leagues and take the nation by storm.
I hope Coghlan continues his stellar season; .286 avg. 6 hr, 27 RBI, and 5 SB's proving that he could be the present and future leadoff man for the Marlins and possibly another household name for a club with relatively few of them.
