Breakdown of Prop Bets

The aforementioned bets are good ways to burn money but some are worth taking a second look.
One that stands out is the odds concerning the amount of times Pete Carroll is mentioned as being the last New England Patriots head coach. Carroll bridged the gap between Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick, but he went 1-2 in the playoffs before Belichick took over.
Ironically enough, Carroll has enjoyed several successful seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and has a Super Bowl ring of his own. Even with the path he's followed to get to this point, Mike Silver of NFL Network noted Carroll hasn't forgotten his former team:
Don't bet on the broadcasters forgetting about this fact, potentially bringing it up more than once.
Outside of the mention of Carroll's former NFL job, there are also odds on a certain story that has dominated the days leading up to the game. Even "Deflategate" has odds, with the amount of times "deflated balls" is mentioned set at an over-under of 2.5 times.
Though the story will be nearly two weeks old at that point, Cris Collinsworth and Al Michaels will not fail to mention one of the league's biggest scandals. If things get out of handโlike they typically do during the Super Bowlโboth will be looking for extra topics to talk about, making deflated balls a popular topic.
Those aren't the only odds to choose from, but they are certainly some of the most exotic. Placing money on any prop bet seems a little ridiculous, but the fun and unknown potential in the Super Bowl is what makes it so entertaining.
