The Safest Bets
There are several viable bets to make next Sunday for the Super Bowl, but there are two wagers worth your investment. For a more traditional bet, ride with the over (currently set at 48.5 points), and for a fun prop bet, place a wager on New England head coach Bill Belichick’s smile.
You heard me correctly, bet heavy on Belichick smiling!
First, let’s talk about betting the over. There is no doubt Seattle’s defensive unit has been incredible this season, but the team hasn’t faced an offense as dynamic as the one the Patriots will march onto the field.
Not only have Tom Brady and the passing attack been playing well, but running back LeGarrette Blount also torched the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship for 148 yards. With all aspects of the offense clicking, the Patriots should be able to replicate the 35 points they scored against the Baltimore Ravens and the 45 points they racked up on the Colts.
Add in the fact that Seattle scored 31 points against the Carolina Panthers in the divisional round and 28 against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship despite quarterback Russell Wilson throwing four interceptions, and bettors should be looking at the over as a lock.
The other bet worth a wager is whether Belichick will smile on the Super Bowl Sunday broadcast. The New England head coach doesn’t smile often, and the pressure of the game will not be the prime chance for it to happen.
There is no doubt that if the team is winning and closes the game out strong, Belichick will crack a smile with his team. If you believe that the Patriots will earn the Super Bowl victory, ride with this bet and earn some money.
Regardless of where you place your wager, the Super Bowl is all about having fun, so please gamble responsibly.
Predicted Final Score: New England 27, Seattle 24
