Australian Open 2015: Day 5 Schedule, Matchups Predictions for Melbourne Bracket
Some of the top players might be hopping off the train, but it just keeps rolling through Melbourne. Day 4 of the Australian Open saw some big stars ousted, but also saw a resurgence for a former world No. 1.
Victoria Azarenka's win over No. 8 Caroline Wozniacki was the biggest story from Day 4. The two-time Aussie Open champion looks to regain her place among the best women after a dramatic fall from grace in 2014.
Now we look ahead to Day 5. Two legends return to the court when Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal attempt to bounce back from nearly being ousted in the second round. Maria Sharapova is looking to do the same against her first seeded opponent in Melbourne.

No. 2 Federer Continues Run Over Andreas Seppi
It hasn't been a breeze for Federer thus far, but he faces a familiar foe on Day 5.
During his career against Andreas Seppi, Federer has 10 wins and has lost only one set during those matches. Facing off in the 2009 Aussie Open, Federer cruised through the Italian in straight sets.
Though he's a legendary player in the sport, Federer has a chance to make a different type of history, as ESPN Tennis notes:
"Did you know? At 33 years, 177 days, Roger Federer could be the oldest man to win the #AusOpen since Ken Rosewall. pic.twitter.com/guQn1hRBW8

He might have been pushed to four sets in the second round, but Federer shouldn't experience as much adversity against Seppi. That is, of course, if he can avoid any more bee stings, via Courtney Nguyen of Sports Illustrated, throughout the match.
No. 7 Eugenie Bouchard Proves She is Contender to Watch
Much of the talk surrounding Eugenie Bouchard since her second-round win has not been about her play. Instead, it has been focused on a reporter asking her to twirl following the match, per the Associated Press (via the Guardian).
Now, she gets a chance to put that issue in the rearview mirror and prove why she's quickly becoming a player to watch in Melbourne. Several seeded players have already dropped on the women's side, leaving it wide open for the young Canadian player.
During Day 5, Bouchard will finally meet her first true test in No. 36 Caroline Garcia. Nguyen offers her take on the third-round matchup:
"Bouchard has rolled through the first two rounds, losing just nine games. But she faces a big step up in quality in the third round when she faces No. 36 Caroline Garcia. The Frenchwoman beat Svetlana Kuznetsova in the first round, has not lost a set and beat Bouchard in their only meeting last year on hard court in Acapulco.
"
Expect Bouchard to pass this test as well, but the road ahead gets even tougher for Genie. Second-seeded Maria Sharapova might be on tap for the quarterfinals and No. 3 Simona Halep in the semifinals.
Dudi Sela Pushes No. 3 Nadal to the Brink

Nadal's return wasn't expected to be seamless, but falling in the second round would have been shocking. Going against Dudi Sela, who is coming off a four-set win over Lukas Rosol, Nadal will likely be tested yet again.
The two players have never faced each other, so it will be an entirely new experience for Sela. But if Nadal has any more struggles with his health, the scales might be tipped in the Israeli's favor.
If Nadal does take the match to a fifth set, he has shown resilience in the past against unseeded players, via ESPN Stats and Info:
He might not fall, but the questions will linger for Nadal if he struggles against Sela. After a marathon match in the second round, expect a similar outcome for Nadal on Day 5.
