Real Madrid have captured the signature of precocious Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard, fending off interest from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich, per The Guardian.
The 16-year-old wunderkind, who only made his Norwegian Tippeligaen debut with Stromsgodset nine months ago, was unveiled by Los Blancos at a press conference on Thursday.
Spanish media (h/t Reuters, via The Guardian) first reported that his transfer fee was £2.3 million, and the prodigious left-footed attacking midfielder will make a staggering £80,000 per week, according to Ashley Clements of the Mail Online.
