Football Italia claims that the Colombian midfielder's agent flew into London on Wednesday to hash out a deal, a rumour corroborated by Sky Sports.
Although Fiorentina are resolute in their attempts to keep the 2014 World Cup star, it is understood that the Blues are following up a rejected £20.8 million bid with something that will satisfy his £26.8m release clause.
