
Hassan Whiteside Injury: Updates on Heat Center's Ankle and Return
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside has been dealing with an ankle issues that forced him out of the team's clash with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 20. Whiteside was active vs. Pacers on Jan. 23 and for the subsequent week, but was ruled out against the Spurs on Feb. 6. He was back in the lineup against the Knicks on Feb. 9.

Hassan Whiteside registered seven points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes of action as the Heat defeated the Knicks 109-95 in his return to Miami's lineup.
Whiteside Back Out of Lineup vs. Spurs with Ankle Injury
Friday, Feb. 6
The Heat announced Whiteside's ankle will keep him out of the lineup Friday against San Antonio.
Whiteside Returns to Lineup Briefly
Sunday, Jan. 25
Whiteside returned to the lineup on Jan. 25 against the Pacers, the Heat announced.
Whiteside was also active on Jan. 23 against Indiana, though he did not play.

An uneven season for the Miami Heat may have gotten a bit rockier as Whiteside had to leave the team's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with an ankle injury and didn't return.
The injury will likely keep him sidelined for at least one other game, per the team's official Twitter account:
Whiteside has been a pleasant surprise for the Heat this year, averaging nearly 10 points and more than eight rebounds and two blocks.
In the post-LeBron James era, they need all the help they can get, and a healthy Whiteside has become a big part of their rotation.
