Senior Bowl 2015: Underrated Prospects on North and South Rosters to Watch
Bryce Petty, Danny Shelton and more are locks to make shock waves at the 2015 Senior Bowl.
What about the lesser-known names, though?
Last year, Dee Ford did not enter the proceedings as the biggest name by any means, but he won the MVP award and went on to be selected No. 23 overall in the first round of the draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Not every underrated prospect goes on to such heights, but the first major stop on the path to the draft is an important one nonetheless.
Bleacher Report NFL analysts Matt Miller and Matt Bowen share their top performers from Day 2 in the video below:
Read on for some other sleeper names to keep an eye on as the week progresses are worth remembering.

Underrated North Players to Watch
Eric Rowe, CB, Utah

Big-bodied corners who can press at the line or drop into zone are all the rage at the NFL level these days.
With that in mind, Utah's Eric Rowe should be on the receiving end of more hype than ever after his arrival at the Senior Bowl.
As Bleacher Report's Dan Hope points out, Rowe measures quite well for his position:
Rowe is especially interesting because of his versatility.
This past season was his first at corner after spending three years manning the safety position. He shows well on film at both areas, meaning teams that use defensive backs at both spots depending on the situation, such as the Cincinnati Bengals, will be hot for Rowe on draft day.
Of course, Rowe needs to perform well against the best of the best. Based on his lengthy veteran collegiate career to date, that should not be a problem.
Ty Montgomery, WR, Stanford

Bad news is all that has surrounded Stanford wideout Ty Montgomery as of late.
He missed his team's bowl game with an injury and must now fight a very deep class of wideouts at the Senior Bowl. To make matters even worse, he measured much smaller than the team listed him, per Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News:
Still, Montgomery is a proven producer who contributes on special teams in a major way, as noted by his 1,091 kick return yards and two scores in 2013.
Montgomery's touchdown production dipped this year, but the offense was more to blame than anything:
| 2014 | 61 | 604 | 9.9 | 44 | 3 |
| 2013 | 61 | 958 | 15.7 | 72 | 10 |
Now faced with a chance to turn things around and get back into the conversation as a top wideout, Montgomery certainly has the all-around skill set to do so.
Production speaks louder than measurements, after all.
Underrated South Players to Watch
Denzel Perryman, LB, Miami

When one thinks of inside linebackers in the 2015 class, the top name that seems to come to mind is Mississippi State's Benardrick McKinney.
Denzel Perryman has something to say about that.
Now that the season is over and everyone has a chance to go back and review film, Perryman is a name that continues to pop up with violent, run-stuffing "wow" plays time and again.
Upon arrival in Mobile, Alabama, Perryman caught the attention of the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero:
As Bleacher Report's Matt Miller points out, Perryman has a chance to do what others, such as Chris Borland, did before him at the event:
There is space at the top for Perryman given his position.
All he needs to do is take the ball and run with it now that he continues to capture the eyes of the globe as an every-down run enforcer.
Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn

Hear that? It's the Sammie Coates hype train rolling down the tracks.
Coates, the owner of just 34 catches for 741 yards and four touchdowns in 2014, is the perfect example of what a measurement at the Senior Bowl can do for a prospect.
CBS Sports' Dane Brugler has the scoop:
Let the Julio Jones comparisons commence.
That said, Coates has a problem:
"Sammie Coates asked by reporter if it'd be weird catching passes from Blake Sims. Coates: "uh, yeah." #SeniorBowl
— Patrick Woo (@P_Woo) January 19, 2015"
As strange as catching passes from an SEC rival out of Alabama might be, Coates is in a position to catch up with top names such as Amari Cooper, DeVante Parker and Kevin White.
For a guy whose per-catch average has never dipped below 19 yards, Coates remains a bit of a secret.
That ends if he plays anything like Jones.
