Manchester United Transfer News: Paul Pogba Blow, Latest Radamel Falcao Rumours
Real Madrid are reportedly planning a massive offer for Juventus star Paul Pogba amid rumours Manchester United are planning to bring the former member of their youth academy back to the club with a permanent transfer.
United are one of many Premier League clubs reportedly eyeing the France international, but the Daily Star's Tony Stenson claims Los Blancos are ready to make the first move with a £78 million bid:
"Reports in Italy suggest the Frenchman's time with Juventus is almost up - and that Madrid will be his next stop.
Pogba, 21, played a major role in helping Juve clinch their third successive league title last season, scoring seven goals in 36 Serie A appearances.
He recently signed a contract extension tying him to the Italian outfit until 2019.

As reported by Stenson, agent Mino Raiola recently suggested his client won't be staying in Italy for much longer, saying, "He cannot stay for very much longer in Italy. It will depend on the Bianconeri (Juventus)."
Rumours of Real's reported interest in the 21-year-old star aren't new. As recently as Saturday, outlets even claimed he was already on his way to Madrid for a medical, something Football Italia immediately debunked:
Bleacher Report's Ryan Bailey and Matteo Bonetti recently discussed the possibility of Juventus moving Pogba, with a summer move the more likely scenario:
A powerful midfielder with impeccable technique and a fantastic long shot, the Red Devils know full well what Pogba can do. The French youngster was on the verge of breaking into the senior side but grew impatient under Alex Ferguson and left for the Bianconeri on a free transfer in 2012.
United have a need for another physical player in the centre of the pitch, and Pogba would fit the bill perfectly. But his rocky departure from the club combined with the reported interest from virtually every top team in Europe makes a move back to Old Trafford unlikely.
Gianlucadimarzio.com's David Amoyal still believes Pogba's next club will be Real or Paris Saint-Germain, who would love nothing more than to bring the national hero to the French capital:
That's not to say a move to United is off the table completely, but if Real's opening bid would indeed approach £78 million, you have to assume his eventual transfer fee would approach record heights.
Radamel Falcao's loan season with the Red Devils hasn't gone according to plan, and with the option to make the deal permanent sitting at an astronomical £43 million, the club is reportedly looking at revising said deal with AS Monaco, according to The Telegraph's Jason Burt.

The 28-year-old has been plagued by injury and inconsistency in the 2014-15 campaign and doesn't appear to have earned manager Louis van Gaal's trust, leading to agent Jorge Mendes openly questioning his future, via Burt.
He remains one of the most respected forwards in the game, however, and just months removed from making a complete recovery from the knee injury that kept him out of the 2014 World Cup, there is the chance he simply needs more time to regain his old form.
According to the Liverpool Echo's Kristian Walsh, there are rumours of Liverpool eyeing a move if United fail to pick up his option:
The Colombia international still has six months to prove he can be a valuable asset to the squad, but he'll have to be simply sensational to warrant the £43 million price tag. A lower fee makes far more sense for both clubs, as Monaco know the chances of anyone paying such a hefty fee for the striker are slim at best right now.
Whether the two parties can come to a compromise remains to be seen, but as things stand, a permanent transfer for a reduced fee seems like the most likely option.
