Lionel Messi scored a rare headed goal to give Barcelona the lead against Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga.

The Argentine met Ivan Rakitic's deep cross and floated his header over the goalkeeper with assurance.

Later in the first half he added a second, bursting through the middle and bundling the ball home:

And the third goal was inevitable. His hat-trick was his 30th for Barcelona in all competitions.
