Ryan LesterJan 16, 2015

Here are the Lester’s Legends tight end rankings for the AFC and the NFC Conference Championships of the 2014-15 NFL playoffs.

1. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots

Rob Gronkowski averaged 74.9 yards and 0.8 touchdowns per game this year. He had 108 yards and a touchdown in the playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens. Gronk had 71 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting with the Indianapolis Colts.

2. Coby Fleener, Indianapolis Colts

Coby Fleener averaged 48.4 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game, but he finished the year averaging 61.4 yards and 0.8 touchdowns in the final five games of the regular season. He is averaging 33.5 yards per game in the Colts’ two playoff wins, but he ripped the New England Patriots for 144 yards during the regular season.

3. Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts

Dwayne Allen averaged 30.4 yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game this season. He had 30 yards in both playoff wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Denver Broncos. Allen scored a touchdown against Denver. He is not going to overwhelm you with receiving yards, but he’s a solid bet to get in the end zone.

4. Luke Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Luke Wilson averaged 24.1 yards and 0.2 touchdowns per game on the year. He exceeded expectations last week with 68 yards and a score in the playoff win over the Carolina Panthers. Wilson had one yard in the first meeting with the Green Bay Packers so don’t expect a repeat playoff performance.

5. Andrew Quarless, Green Bay Packers

Andrew Quarless averaged 20.2 yards and 0.2 touchdowns per game during the regular season. He caught four passes for 31 yards and a touchdown in the playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys. His touchdown was his first in two months. Quarless did have 26 yards in the first meeting with the Seattle Seahawks.

Other Options

6. Tim Wright, New England Patriots
