WWE NXT: Full Preview, Rumors and More for January 14
Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of NXT on the WWE Network. Spoilers are already out there, but if you want to know what will happen without learning the match results, you're in the right place.
There was a little confusion last week with how the dates lined up from the spoiler report due to WWE pushing the Christmas show back a week, but we are back on track.
NXT has moved to a new night so as not to compete with SmackDown, which will air on Thursdays for the foreseeable future.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
This Wednesday's show will feature a light card with only four matches, but that means each bout should be given a little more time to breathe and tell the story it needs to tell.
Judging from the lineup, we should be in store for some great action. Not only will we see two Superstars meet for the first time, but we will get a huge rematch from the last TakeOver event.
Let's take a look at what's on tap for this week's NXT.
The Women
The feud between Sasha Banks and Charlotte is far from over, and another chapter will be written when the women's champion teams up with Natalya to take on Banks and her bestie, Becky Lynch.
All four of these women have shown real skill in the ring, and given enough time they should be able to produce a top-quality match.
Banks and Charlotte are the two everyone will be focused on, which gives Lynch and Natalya the chance to surprise everyone and steal the spotlight.
Seeing as this is a tag match, the outcome really won't affect anyone in the long run. Charlotte will still be champion, and Banks will continue trying to get another shot at the title.
The interesting part of this foursome is Natalya. They easily could have stuck any number of developmental Divas in Charlotte's corner, but they chose Nattie.
She has been in and out of NXT for the past couple of years, and it almost seems like she produces better matches against the women in the developmental system. We'll have to see if the trend continues this week.
The Men
The opening match of the evening will see Finn Balor take on one of the first people he faced after arriving in NXT: Tyson Kidd.
These two had one singles match before, but it was interrupted by an attack from The Ascension. This is their chance to see who really would have won.
Kidd is being given a new direction with Cesaro on the main roster, so whatever happens to him in NXT really won't affect him too much.
This means Kidd can put Balor over to continue building the latter's momentum without harming his own status as a tag team wrestler. This should be an entertaining contest considering the talent involved and the exciting styles both men are known for.
A matchup that has been brewing for several weeks will finally take place this week when Baron Corbin goes one-on-one with Bull Dempsey.
These two have been involved in numerous physical altercations while also running through as many jobbers as the bookers could throw at them.
They're two big, powerful wrestlers, but they tend to use different styles. Whoever walks away with the win might be the person we need to watch in 2015.
Dempsey has been around for a little while, but this will be Corbin's first real feud. How he performs in the big showdown will affect his future success more than you might think.
The final match of the night is the one everyone needs to pay attention to. Adrian Neville will get a shot at regaining the NXT Championship he lost by challenging Sami Zayn in a rematch from TakeOver: R Evolution.
These two delivered what many would call a candidate for Match of the Year a few weeks ago. Not only was the wrestling insanely entertaining, but the story told was both believable and exciting.
Almost the entire roster came out to congratulate Zayn following the biggest win of his career, but his celebration was cut short when Kevin Owens turned on his best friend and powerbombed him into the ring apron.
It will be interesting to see if Owens plays any part in the outcome of this match. He is clearly setting his eyes on the championship immediately, so it makes sense that he would be watching this one closely.
Seeing as Zayn spent such a long time trying to win the belt, it would seem illogical to take it off him so soon. Whether he beats Neville or someone causes a DQ, Zayn will almost certainly walk away with his reign intact.
If this match is even half as good as the one they put on at TakeOver, it will still be better than anything we saw on Raw this past Monday.
It looks like the pattern of NXT's great shows will continue for at least one more week. What are you looking forward to seeing on Wednesday's episode?
