Kevin Frandsen, Take Note

Frandsen has been in the news lately because he is angry about the trade of Freddy Sanchez, because he believes that he can produce like Sanchez and hasn't gotten a chance.

Well Frandsen, you had your chance but only had five hits in a couple stints with the Giants.

If you have been watching the Giants lately, you have seen Eugenio Velez tear it up in the majors! He has gotten a hit in every game since he has been called up, his average has risen to .330 and has homered in two straight games!

When Velez was up with the Giants earlier in the year he was horrible, poor hitting, poor fielding, but then he went back down to Fresno and got his work in and played well down there.

We all knew Velez had the potential with his speed and wiry strength, and he finally tapped that potential.

Now we all now Frandsen has that potential as well, tearing it up in spring training this year, and in 2007 showed potential before he had to sit out all last year with an injury.

If Frandson can see what Velez is doing, stop bitching about not getting his chance, and keep it up in Fresno (Frandsen is currently hitting .301 with 9 HR) he can get called back up to the minors and provide a needed spark on offense.

I am a fan of Frandsen, especially now since he can pick it at short and maybe give Renteria a couple off days, considering he is hitting only .251 with 2 HR.

Come on Frandsen, do your work, use Velez has a role model, and get up here and produce.
