Darts Champion Scott Mitchell Was a Body Double for 'Lookalike' Johnny Depp

Last weekend, Scott Mitchell won the BDO World Darts Championship, and you will soon be able to see him on the silver screen.

Well, kind of...

Mitchell revealed after his victory that he helped Hollywood A-listers Johnny Depp and Billy Bob Thornton learn how to play darts for their forthcoming film, London Fields.

Mitchell's throwing action will appear at certain points in the Mathew Cullen-directed movie. 

Per ESPN, he told The Sun:

"

Johnny's really talented at everything. So, I put three darts in his hands and he said, 'Where is the best place to throw them?'

I said: 'Well, first three darts aim for the bullseye'. He went 25, 25. I took the darts out of his hands. I don't want him beating me for the world championship.

He does throw darts in the film but when they hit where they are going, I have thrown them. I am a bit of a body double, stunt double, whatever you want to call it. Of course, we look alike.

Every time Billy wasn't doing anything he just grabbed a set of darts and he would go round the board and I would go round on doubles. We had a really fun four or five weeks."

Mitchell won the title by beating Martin Adams 7-6 in a dramatic final last Sunday.
