Liverpool's Mario Balotelli Blasts Sunderland Weather in Foul-Mouthed Outburst

Sean FayJan 11, 2015

Mario Balotelli has been struggling in his second spell in English football, but he has at least developed the most British of traits—complaining about the weather.

The Italy striker started on the bench again on Saturday during Liverpool's 1-0 win over Sunderland, and the worst aspect of that was he had to freeze his butt off.

The Daily Mail notes Balotelli has already been linked with a move away from Anfield, but a loan move to north east is unlikely to appeal to him.

On leaving the Stadium of Light, Balotelli said: "This is the f-----g coldest city I’ve ever f-----g played in."

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who used to play for Sunderland, sympathised with the striker.

"

I didn’t warn Balotelli about how cold it was because otherwise he would have been worried before the game.

It certainly was cold and windy out there. Afterwards, though, he could smile about the three points like the rest of us.

"

The good news for Mario is Liverpool's next game is against Aston Villa in positively balmy Birmingham.
