2014-15 Divisional-Round Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings
Here are the Lester’s Legends wide receiver rankings for the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
1. Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos
Demaryius Thomas averaged 101.2 yards and 0.7 touchdowns per game in the regular season. Thomas had 48 yards in the first meeting with the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts allowed 1.7 passing touchdowns per game.
2. Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys
Dez Bryant averaged 82.5 yards per game and led the league with 16 touchdowns, including 12 in the final nine games of the regular season. Dez had 48 yards in the playoff win over the Detroit Lions. He faces the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have allowed 1.6 passing touchdowns per game.
3. Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers
Jordy Nelson averaged 94.9 yards and 0.8 touchdowns during the regular season. He faces the Dallas Cowboys. The Boys allowed 251.9 passing yards per game.
4. Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos
Emmanuel Sanders averaged 87.8 yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game. Sanders had 77 yards in the first game against the Colts.
5. Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers
Randall Cobb averaged 80.4 yards and 0.8 touchdowns per game. He’s also a solid play against the Cowboys.
6. T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts
T.Y. Hilton averaged 96.1 yards in the first 14 games of the regular season. He had 103 yards in the playoff win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Hilton had 41 yards in the regular-season meeting with the Denver Broncos.
7. Julian Edelman, New England Patriots
Julian Edelman averaged 69.4 yards and 0.3 touchdowns per game, but I suspect Tom Brady will lean heavily on him against the Baltimore Ravens. He averaged 114.5 yards and a touchdown in the final two games of the regular season.
8. Brandon LaFell, New England Patriots
Brandon LaFell averaged 69.8 yards and 0.5 touchdowns in the final 13 games of the regular season.
9. Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens
Torrey Smith averaged just 47.9 yards per game but scored 11 touchdowns on the year. He continued his scoring spree in the playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers with 28 yards and a touchdown. He faces the New England Patriots. The Pats allowed 1.5 passing touchdowns per game.
10. Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers
Kelvin Benjamin averaged 63 yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game during the regular season. He had 33 yards in the playoff win over the Arizona Cardinals. Benjamin has a tough matchup against the Seattle Seahawks and the Legion of Boom.
11. Steve Smith, Baltimore Ravens
Steve Smith averaged 66.6 yards and 0.4 touchdowns per game. He stepped it up in the win over the Steelers with 101 yards. He will try to stay hot against New England, but he could be seeing plenty of Darrelle Revis.
12. Terrance Williams , Dallas Cowboys
Terrance Williams had 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Lions. I’m expecting a quieter day against the Packers.
13. Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks
Doug Baldwin averaged 51.6 yards per game during the regular season. He’s not a strong play against the Carolina Panthers.
