Chandler Parsons Gets Called Out by Twitter for Jumping on Cowboys Bandwagon
Chandler Parsons isn't the most loyal fan in the world, but he does support the teams in the city he plays in.
Being that kind of fan doesn't sit well with Twitter users.
When Parsons was a member of the Houston Rockets, he made it clear who his favorite NFL team was:
Well, Parsons left the Rockets in free agency for the Dallas Mavericks this past summer. Along with a new uniform, the 26-year-old also has a new favorite NFL team.
After the Dallas Cowboys pulled out a 24-20 victory over the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card Round of the 2014-15 NFL playoffs Sunday, Parsons showed his support for his local team:
After getting called out, Parsons defended himself:
Twitter still wasn't having any of the bandwagon jumping:
"“@ChandlerParsons: I support where I live and make a living. #clowns #wedemboysss” bandwagon
— Speedy Noil JAN. 21 (@_Zacaveli) January 5, 2015"
"@ChandlerParsons that's fancy schmancy talk for "I'm a bandwagoner". #rednation
— moMarauder (@moMarauder) January 5, 2015"
"@ChandlerParsons sounds super loyal ;-). I’m an H-Town transplant living in Dallas and I’ll be #RedNation forever. #Texans, #Dynamo, et al.
— Ryan (@rclew82) January 5, 2015"
Most fans like to see their team's players root for the other local teams. However, Twitter doesn't take kindly to bandwagon fans.
