Friday, January 9
Miguel Delaney of ESPN FC reports that both Chelsea and Manchester United will make a move for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane this summer.
Sources suggest that both clubs have been encouraged by the player's representatives to pursue their interest in the 21-year-old, despite Madrid insisting that they have no intention of selling him.
Chelsea could have the upper hand if Varane does become available. Jose Mourinho showed great faith in the young centre-back during his time in charge at the Bernabeu, and Varane is said to have enjoyed working with the Portuguese coach.

Manu Sainz of AS reports that Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has his sights set on a move to Real Madrid.
Sainz writes that Madrid have been in contact with De Gea's representatives for a number of weeks, and that the goalkeeper is keen on a return to Spain for next season.
De Gea's current contract at United expires in the summer of 2016, and Sainz suggests that United would be willing to allow him to leave this summer in order to prevent him doing so on a free transfer a year later.
In England, Jeremy Cross of the Daily Star reports that United have offered the goalkeeper an extension worth £140,000 a week, which his sources suggest De Gea is minded to sign if the club are able to convince him that they will soon be challenging for trophies.
Martin Odegaard

Per Marca, Martin Odegaard was in attendance at Real Madrid's 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night following a day of talks with the club over a potential move to the Bernabeu.
AS (h/t Inside Futbol) report that Madrid will have to pay €4 million to sign the 16-year-old from Stromsgodset but must still fend off interest from Ajax, with whom Odegaard is scheduled to train later this month.
The youngster has received advice from a number of ex-professionals, many of whom have suggested that a move to the Netherlands would be more beneficial at this stage of his career.
AS do, however, note that Odegaard appears to have set his mind on a move to Madrid.
Wednesday, January 7
Norwegian daily VG (h/t Inside Futbol) have reported that Real Madrid are close to signing 16-year-old midfielder Martin Odegaard.
The paper states that Odegaard and his father were flown to Madrid on a private jet on Tuesday evening in order to complete the formalities of the deal.
Odegaard has visited a number of big European clubs including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool during his decision-making process, but he now seems ready to commit himself to Madrid.
VG note that he will immediately be registered as part of Carlo Ancelotti's first-team squad. He will wear the No. 16 shirt.
Isco

Wednesday, January 7
Anthony Chapman of the Daily Express reports that Arsenal are considering a £64 million bid for Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
Chapman states that Isco would be open to a move to north London.
It is also likely that Manchester City—coached by his former Malaga boss, Manuel Pellegrini—would involve themselves in the bidding process if he were to become available.
The 22-year-old has, however, received regular minutes this season, and it seems unlikely that he would wish to leave the club or indeed that Madrid would be willing to sell.

Khedira's contract at the Bernabeu expires at the end of the season, and he is now free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with interested parties.
Per Yahoo Sport, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the Germany international.
