Over 40,000 Fans Turn Up to Welcome Fernando Torres Back to Atletico Madrid

A lot of people have written off Fernando Torres, but the fans of Atletico Madrid are certainly not among them. 

On Sunday afternoon, the club's supporters packed the Vicente Calderon to welcome their prodigal son home. 

Torres has rejoined his boyhood club on loan after a tough few seasons with Chelsea and AC Milan. 

Torres scored 91 goals in 244 games for Atletico Madrid during a seven-year period between 2000-2007 before moving to Liverpool. 

Torres has already started scoring again for Atletico, too. On the morning of his presentation, he found the target in a practice match against youth team players.
