Southampton Tell Fan Who Sits Near Girl He Fancies to Man Up and Ask Her out

2015 could begin with a love story for the ages. 

Earlier in the festive period, a Southampton fan named Timothy got in touch with the club's official Twitter account with an interesting request.

Data protection laws meant that the Saints could not give out the name of the girl young Timmy has been swooning over, but instead, over a series of Tweets, they gave out some relationship advice. 

The whole story is told in the video at the top of the page, but suffice to say, the conclusion was: "Man up and ask the girl out!"

Southampton take on Arsenal at St. Mary's on New Year's Day, and Tim has promised that this will be the day he'll finally pluck up the courage and ask the girl out.
