Comeau Re-Signs With The Islanders
New York Islanders GM Garth Snow never had second thoughts on re-signing former 2004 second round pick Blake Comeau. “We are excited to have Blake as part of our line-up,” Snow said. “He is a versatile player who has great promise and is developing into a solid NHL player.” This 23 year-old forward was shuttled back and forth last year with Bridgeport (American Hockey League) and the Islanders where he scored seven goals and 18 assists in 53 games. Comeau couldn’t play the final three games last season due to a fractured wrist that is now completely healed.
