Gentlemen, this is a rare instance where we have a round-table conference on a high note.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Justin Lehr pitched a masterpiece last night—a four-hit complete-game shutout over the Chicago Cubs. That's what I'm talkin' about.
We also witnessed the first offensive display by newly acquired Scott Rolen. In his first at bat since being beaned by Jason Marquis, Rolen homered with Brandon Phillips aboard. So I say, keep the bean balls comin'.
After losing eight consecutive games and your entire staff of Reds writers scrambling for a story, we finally have something to brag about.
Illya, what do you think over there? You have a far-away look in your eye. What is your take on Justin Lehr's performance? Just a fluke or can we see more?
I am having trouble figuring out how Gonzo, with a .243 OBP, is batting in the two-hole. Any ideas?
Russell, if you could change one thing right now, from top to bottom, what would it be, sir?
Even with a game like last night, we all must still resign ourselves to the fact that this season has bought the farm. Even though we pulled ourselves one game out of the basement, our play is entirely too poor to have any expectations whatsoever.
Stephen, what would you like to see happen for next year—trade someone, buy someone, what?
It is a shame to see Edinson Volquez out until sometime next season. That is going to leave a mark. I have said this before but I would like to see a southpaw starter. I know we tried Matt Maloney, but did we really give him a good enough look? I know his ERA is high, but he wasn't hit all that hard. His K/W was in pretty good balance as well. Any opinions?
Tyler, I know you are a Phillie fan as well, but I like your fire. We have a merry-go-round outfield. Anything you see we could do to bring more stability out there?
My question of the week: Will Dusty Baker stay on board through the entire season, regardless of the team's performance?
Does anyone have an update on when Jay Bruce will be back? He has been out forever and still leads the squad in HR.
John Cate, this is your first appearance at the Round-table, and I value your opinion. I would like to hear your thoughts on anything that could help right this ship.
We are headed out west this weekend to play the Giants. Maybe we will have the momentum from last night fly out to California with us.
Thanks guys, see you next week.
