This might be the most awkward hug in the history of sports. Maybe in the history of humanity as well.
San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh's future with the team is currently, at best, up in the air. A lot of rumors have been flying around about the franchise and coach parting ways after the season, partly due to the fact that he reportedly has a strained relationship with management.
Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reported Saturday that Harbaugh has accepted a six-year, $48 million contract to become the next head coach at the University of Michigan, though the deal is not yet official.
With the 7-8 49ers already officially eliminated from postseason contention, Sunday's 2014 season finale against the Arizona Cardinals could be the final time that Harbaugh is on the sideline as San Francisco's coach.
It may be an awkward situation for Harbaugh, but he is a professional. He and 49ers chief executive officer Jed York shared a hug before the game:

That pretty much says it all.
