Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos: Live Oakland Score and Analysis

Brian FloresDec 28, 2014

The Oakland Raiders are one game away from another disappointing year, but at least it's ending on something of a positive note.

The team has been playing much better to end the season. The Raiders have gone 3-2 in their last five, and all three wins came against playoffs contenders. Do they have one more upset in them this season? We'll find out starting at 4:25 p.m. ET when they take on the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

This is the final chance for several players to make a case for next season, whether it's for a starting job, a bigger role or just to be back with the team. One of the most intriguing to watch against Denver is Latavius Murray. He's continued to show that he can be this team's every-down back. One more positive performance could have him locked in as Oakland's starting running back in 2015.

D.J. Hayden is someone else to watch. Despite being in only his second year and never playing a full season, he is Oakand's leader at cornerback today. Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown and T.J. Carrie are all out, which leaves Hayden as the team's top cornerback.

He'll have today to prove that he's capable of doing what the Raiders brought him in to do, which is take on other team's top wide receiver. At the very least, he has to show he's working in that direction.

Denver is heavily favored, but an upset isn't completely out of the question. Murray has to be efficient on the ground, Derek Carr has to lead his offense to points, and the Oakland defensive front has to get to Peyton Manning. That's a lot to ask, but it's also doable.

Keep it here for live scores and updates throughout the game.
