Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest David De Gea, Marco Reus, Gareth Bale Rumours
The rumours surrounding Gareth Bale's potential departure from Real Madrid to Manchester United will not go away, with recent reports suggesting he may be on his way to Old Trafford in another world-record deal.
According to Sport (h/t Jack Wilson in the Daily Star), the Red Devils are lining up an astronomical £120 million bid for the Welshman, and Los Blancos are preparing to replace him with Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.
Bale is already the world's most expensive player. He moved to the Bernabeu from Tottenham in 2013 for £85 million, Real beating United to his signature on that occasion.

However, it seems that the Red Devils are looking to smash that particular milestone in order to finally get their man, and Real would do well to accept such an offer if they do indeed have Reus lined up as a replacement.
While Bale has been magnificent for Real since his move to the Bernabeu—playing a huge part in last season's La Decima victory and scoring seven and assisting three in La Liga already this season per WhoScored.com—such an astronomical fee would be worth accepting since it could be used to buy a string of other players.
Reus is set to be available for just £20 million in the summer when his buyout clause drops, per Enis Koylu of Goal.com, a bargain for the German, who has phenomenal attacking ability, as indicated in Sam Tighe's B/R UK transfer profile of the player below:
Many would argue Reus is as good, if not better, than Bale, and if Real could snap up the 25-year-old for just £20 million while shipping off the former Tottenham man to Old Trafford for £120 million, they would be left with £100 million to spare.
Bale's move to United could also involve a switch the other way for long-term Real target David de Gea.

The United goalkeeper is seen by many as Iker Casillas' heir apparent at the Bernabeu, and Simon Mullock in the Mirror reports that Real will demand De Gea as part of the exchange for Bale.
The Spaniard has put in a number of blockbuster performances for the Red Devils so far this season, and it is unsurprising that Los Blancos are interested in him when Casillas is now 33 years old and past his peak.
However, as The Telegraph's Paul Hayward alludes to, United would be ill-advised to swap De Gea for anyone, as he is arguably their most important player at the moment:
While Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal currently has a string of attacking talent to call on, his defence is weak, and De Gea's continued good form has been vital to United's performances.
Real are thus highly unlikely to be able to persuade United to part with De Gea, but the Spaniard's contract at Old Trafford runs out in the summer of 2016, and Los Blancos will no doubt be keeping an eye on the keeper's situation for some time yet.
Reus would be a brilliant buy for any club, and he would be a perfect replacement for Bale at Real, although the current rumours surrounding the Welshman's departure seem somewhat far-fetched.
