David Bentley: Undone at Spurs, Any Buyers?

In the words of a £15m signing at Spurs Lodge in 2008, the footballer who couldn't wait to rise through Arsenal youth ranks before he moved to Ewood Park in 2006:

"We can do anything we want, anything we put our minds to."

Exactly, Spurs want to sign everyone at the moment!

Once hailed as "The New Beckham", the former Arsenal trainee cuts a miserable figure at White Hart Lane these days (if at all, he is on the bench).

Leave aside the chance to show off his boots embossed with DB7, he is struggling to get a chance to kick a ball. He was even stripped off his No.7 to give it to Aaron Lennon.

And the icing on the cake: few days back, he was punched on the face by some unknown lad (who must've been a Gooner) while he was dining at a north London restaurant.

You are out, Bentley! Where will you go? Stoke? Join Larsson at Birmingham? Or would you like to play under another like-minded bulldog with headset at Hull? I doubt that. 

And don't even try and dream that Manchester City will come in for you—You aren't going to earn those bucks.
