Cesc Fabregas-Jack Wilshere Assist Statistic Will Haunt Arsene Wenger, Arsenal

Premier League-leading Chelsea saw off Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Monday night to ensure the Blues would be at the top of the table on Christmas.
As has been the case for much of the season, midfielder Cesc Fabregas did much of the string-pulling for the Blues, assisting John Terry's opening goal and scoring a neat second to put the match away.

Fabregas' triumphant return to the Premier League has been particularly tough on Arsenal fans, as the club had a well-documented buy-back clause Arsene Wenger refused to exercise thanks to a glut of bodies in their midfield.
One particular statistic that must have been particularly painful began making the rounds in the aftermath:
In Wilshere's defence, his Arsenal career has been ravaged by injury. On the other hand, Fabregas has one more assist in 16 Premier League appearances with the Blues (12) than Wilshere has in 95 (11) with Arsenal.
Merry Christmas, indeed, Wenger.
