Danish Footballer Daniel Agger Gives Fans Tattoos, Signs Them

Ever had a crazy idea as a fan, like doing something memorable that involves a player from your favorite team? Well, whatever you're thinking of, multiply it by 10 and you might be on the level of Mr. Gothard of Denmark.

Gothard, along with another lucky fan of the Danish Superliga's Brondby IF, were treated to tattoos administered by the team's star player, Daniel Agger, a former EPL man with Liverpool and captain of Denmark's national team.

Agger is certainly someone who is familiar with tattoos, making the idea of getting one that much more intriguing.

This is not the first time that tattoos and sports have mixed, however. Back in February, the Memphis Grizzlies ran a promotion where fans got free washable neck tattoos that said "GRIZZLIES."

That may have been a first for tattoos and sports, but no player has ever publicly given fans tattoos until Agger. The only social parallel you can draw is when American recording artist Ke$ha used a pen and needle to give a fan a tattoo on the foot in 2011.

Agger has been no stranger from the spotlight as of late. He spent multiple seasons at Anfield before leaving the club this past August, quitting to join Brondby IF back in his home country.

"It was a big decision to leave Liverpool, it was good on one side, and a bit sad on the other side," Agger said in an interview with CaughtOffside.com earlier this month.

In addition, Agger and his wife were devastated just recently with the death of their family dog, Charlie, who died as the result of a fur drying machine incident. As of this article, it is still unclear if there was a mechanical problem or if the dog was simply forgotten about and left in the machine too long.

I guess putting yourself on the other side of the ink gun is a good way to help take your mind off of all the distractions.
