Manuel Pellegrini discussed Lampard's fitness, according to a report from Sky Sports:

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says Frank Lampard will be out for "between two to three days" but he will be fit to face former club Chelsea next weekend.

Lampard Injured vs. Hamburg

Frank Lampard has proven himself to be an extremely useful addition to Manchester City's squad this season, but the on-loan New York City FC player's influence is set to diminish after injuring himself against Hamburg on Wednesday. 

Manchester City's official Twitter feed confirmed Lampard's complaint, courtesy of manager Manuel Pellegrini:

The English midfielder, who is Chelsea's all-time leading goalscorer, has continued his knack of scoring vital goals while at the Etihad. The 36-year-old netted an important equaliser against his former club in September and scored the only goal of the game when City visited Leicester in December.

Hull and Southampton are also among those to have felt the wrath of Lampard's shooting ability in the Premier League this season. 

Although often used from the bench, Lampard regularly posts reliable, impactful performances. His future rests many miles away in the MLS, but City fans are sure to appreciate how he's player in Manchester.

Manuel Pellegrini will certainly hope to have him back as the vital matches approach.
