Thursday, Dec. 25

Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550 has the latest on Gilmore:

"

For the second straight practice, defensive tackle Marcell Dareus and cornerback Stephon Gilmore did not participate due to injuries.

Still with one practice to go on Saturday, the Bills had to give official injury designations on Friday and declared each player as doubtful for the upcoming game with the New England Patriots.

Gilmore Misses Practice

Wednesday, Dec. 24

Syracuse.com's Matthew Fairburn has the latest on Gilmore:

"

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus were both missing from Wednesday practice after suffering injuries in the team's Week 16 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Gilmore is going through the concussion protocol and Dareus is dealing with a knee injury.

As of Tuesday afternoon, all Bills coach Doug Marrone had for an update is that the Bills will be keeping a close eye on both players throughout the week.

"Yeah, Stephon is in the concussion protocol and Marcell, right now, we're resting him and we'll see where he is later in the week," Marrone said.

Gilmore Leaves Game vs. Raiders With Concussion

Sunday, Dec. 21

The Bills' official account passed along the latest:

Gilmore, 24, has enjoyed a career year for Bufffalo with three interceptions and three tackles for loss. Given his success for the Bills, losing him for an extended period would be a huge loss in the secondary.

Luckily, the Bills have a plethora of pass-rushers like Mario Williams that can limit the damage for the passing defense. Going against a potent New England Patriots offense in Week 17, however, will require every player on the field to take down the division rivals.
