Packers, Steelers, Cowboys Clinch 2015 Playoff Berths After Wins in Week 16
When the Green Bay Packers meet the Detroit Lions in Week 17, the NFC North title will be on the line. The Packers won't be fighting for their playoff lives, however, having clinched a postseason berth for the sixth straight season after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, 20-3.
The team tweeted the accomplishment on its official account after the contest:

Head coach Mike McCarthy commented on the achievement following the victory, via the Packers:
The Packers will now turn to the Lions, with a chance for not only an NFC North title but also potentially a first-round bye and perhaps even the top seed in the playoffs on the line. Green Bay is guaranteed a bye with a win since it would have a better conference record than the Dallas Cowboys, even if the Cowboys win out.
The Pittsburgh Steelers also clinched a playoff berth on Sunday for the first time since 2011, as Ben Roethlisberger and Co. beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 20-12. And as Andrea Hangst of Bleacher Report joked, an old foe won't be awaiting them in the postseason this time around:
The Steelers now have a golden opportunity to win the AFC North, as regardless of Monday night's outcome between the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos, the Steelers will win the division with a victory next week against the Bengals. Pittsburgh would also hold the tiebreaker over the Baltimore Ravens due to having a better divisional record.
Dallas followed the Packers and Steelers with a dominant 42-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Tony Romo threw four touchdown passes as the Colts pulled Andrew Luck early, conceding the game, giving the Cowboys the NFC East title and eliminating the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Cowboys will take on the Washington Redskins next week with the potential for a first round bye still in play.
It's shaping up to be quite the weekend of football in Week 17.
