Jack De Menezes of The Independent first revealed Oxlade-Chamberlain's injury:

Arsene Wenger has recalled Tomas Rosicky for his first Premier League start of the season in place of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the midfielder was ruled out of the clash with Queens Park Rangers through injury.

Arsene Wenger passed along further details about his status, according to the team's official website on Saturday:

"[Laurent] Koscielny has a chance, he will have a test tomorrow," said Wenger. "He has a little chance. [Alex] Chamberlain has an even smaller chance.

"

Oxlade-Chamberlain has steadily enhanced his impact on the Gunners since coming over Southampton in 2011. The concern comes from the fact injuries have become an increasingly large part of his story over the past couple seasons.

Last term, the England international missed an extended period of time due to a knee injury and a handful more matches with a groin problem. He then dealt with a separate knee ailment leading up to the World Cup.

While he's been able to avoid any extended absences so far this season, he did previously battle another groin injury.
