NFL Injury Report Week 16: Team-by-Team Updates, Inactive List and More

Week 16 of the 2014 NFL regular season is upon us, and fantasy football owners are looking to the latest injury reports to see which of the top players in the league will be able to play through the pain and which will be inactive.

Most fantasy leagues are now in the championship round. If owners haven't cursed their team and quit caring about fantasy, they are likely in the finals. Fantasy owners must do whatever it takes to win this week and bring a title home.

Here are the latest news, status updates and team-by-team inactives for Week 16.

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

Status: Active

Carolina Panthers starting quarterback Cam Newton (back) was involved in a car accident last week and missed Week 15's game. He will play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, as he is not listed on the team's inactive list.

DeMarco Murray, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Status: Active

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray underwent surgery on his left hand Monday night and was a game-time decision for Sunday’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. According to the the team's official inactive list, Murray will be able to play Sunday.

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Status: Active

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones missed Week 15 with a hip injury but he is not listed on the team's Week 16 inactive list and will play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Ryan Mathews, RB, San Diego Chargers

Status: Inactive

San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews missed the team's Week 16 victory over the San Francisco 49ers while recovering from an ankle injury, according to San Diego's inactive list.

Andre Johnson, WR, Houston Texans

Status: Active

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson missed Week 15 while recovering from a concussion, but he is not listed on the team's inactive list and should play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16.
