Santos Fan to Sue Neymar Because He Decided to Join Barcelona
It is always hard when your favourite footballer leaves to join another club, but most fans suck it up and get on with it.
Not so for Brazilian lawyer Luciano Pereira Caparroz, who is seeking around £6,300 worth of damages over Neymar's move from Santos to Barcelona.
Caparroz's claim is a reaction to reports that Neymar, who signed for Barcelona in 2013, had actually signed a pre-contract with the Catalans in 2011.

That was before Neymar's Santos took on Barcelona in the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup final in Japan, a match that Caparroz attended and that Barca won 4-0.
Now Caparroz wants to be repaid the £2,000 that that trip cost, plus extra money for "morale damages."
Globoesporte claims, as per the Daily Telegraph, that Caparroz "has filed the lawsuit against Neymar and N&N, the company owned by the player's father which represents him, in a Sao Paulo court for the amount of £6,600."
Caparroz is quoted by the paper as saying:
"I’m a Santista, I go to all the games and I decided to travel to Japan to watch the Club World Cup. I was left frustrated with the result and on top of that, later on we learned that Neymar was already sold. I feel cheated.
"
We wish him well in his case, but don't fancy his chances!
