NFL Power Rankings - Training Camp Edition
NFL Training Camp, itโs officially here!!! All the teams are on the field, players are hitting and the injuries are already mounting. God, I love this time of year cause thereโs something else growing. This is the time of year where My Sports Rumors readership grows, the next five months is our best time of the year mainly for two things.
1. Power Rankings
2. Weekly Predictions.
While I canโt start the weekly predictions yet, we can get the power rankings going. Letโs look at where the teams stand right now.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers - This is out of respect for winning the championship. Just like last year, the champion stays number one on the list till the games begin.
2. New England Patriots - Tom Brady looks healthy and with a healthy Brady is there any team better?
3. New York Giants - With the Antonio Pierce distractions out of the way this team can concentrate on football. Even without Plax theyโre still one of the best in the NFC.
4. Philadelphia Eagles - Originally I was going to place the birds ahead of the Giants but after losing Stewart Bradley that wasnโt going to happen. These two will still be in a dog fight for the division title but till the Eagles find a replacement theyโre one step behind, a small step.
5. Indianapolis Colts - Even with a new coaching staff theyโre one of the best in the AFC. And answer this can you really count out a team led by Peyton Manning?
6. San Diego Chargers - If the Bolts are healthy this year expect big things, especially with them playing in the by far worst division in football.
7. Tennessee Titans.
8. Atlanta Falcons
9. Carolina Panthers
10. Baltimore Ravens
11. Dallas Cowboys
12. Arizona Cardinals - The defending NFC Champs are rated so low because of their defense. The offense should put up big points again but can they stop anyone?
13. Chicago Bears
14. Miami Dolphins
15. Minnesota Vikings - This team took the biggest fall since mini-camps began. Even without Brett Favre they moved up in anticipation, now that heโs not there they are definitely just middle of the pack.
16. Houston Texans
17. Green Bay Packers
18. Buffalo Bills - This is one team I wonder if I have too low. They have Terrell Owens which should help the offense, but at the same time theyโre in a very very tough division.
19. New Orleans Saints
20. New York Jets
21. Seattle Seahawks - A lot of people are high on them with Matt Hasselbeck looking healthy. Till he and the rest of the wide receiver corp can prove their healthy theyโre rated low.
22. Washington Redskins
23. Cincinnati Bengals
24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
25. San Francisco 49ers
26. Denver Broncos
27. Jacksonville Jaguars
28. St. Louis Rams
29. Cleveland Browns
30. Oakland Raiders
31. Kansas City Chiefs
32. Detroit Lions - Till they win a game they just have to be at the bottom.
There we go those are the Training Camp Power Rankings. Thereโs plenty of room for debate but till we see the newcomers on the field, who knows where we actually stand.
That wonโt stop us from arguing and debating thou so let it rip guys.
