Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson, Jermaine Kearse's Post-Week 15 Fantasy Reaction

Matt FitzgeraldDec 14, 2014

The Seattle Seahawks found offense difficult to come by in their Week 15 NFC West showdown with the San Francisco 49ers.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is among the most reliable fantasy RB1 options; he did find the end zone in the second half to help his owners out. However, Seattle's offensive line continued to make life difficult for quarterback Russell Wilson, who leaned heavily on Jermaine Kearse in the passing game.

ESPN Stats & Info points out how steady Lynch has been in finding his way to paydirt:

Wilson is a viable QB1 because of his scrambling ability, which compensates for the 29th-ranked Seahawks passing offense oftentimes. Sunday's clash with the Niners needed to have tempered expectations, since San Francisco had the NFL's fourth-ranked pass defense entering the game.

There's too much uncertainty with Kearse to endorse him as more than a flex option in deeper fantasy leagues.

Doug Baldwin has been Wilson's go-to receiver all year, and being the clear No. 2 wideout in a lackluster passing attack limits Kearse's upside, especially in the midst of the fantasy playoffs.
