Johnny Manziel, Josh Gordon, Jordan Cameron's Post-Week 15 Fantasy Reaction

Timothy RappDec 14, 2014

Johnny Football sure looked like Johnny Rookie on Sunday.

The polarizing Johnny Manziel had his struggles in his first NFL start against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15, especially in the first half, as he finished 4-of-9 with 22 passing yards and two interceptions in the first 30 minutes. He also rushed three times for a whopping three yards. Yikes.

Not exactly the way he wanted his debut to start. Things didn't get any better, however.

It's hard to judge Manziel as a player after his first game, but from a fantasy perspective you should stay away. It's hard to know if Manziel will even keep the gig down the stretch, let alone what he'll offer fantasy owners if he does.

For now, consider him Johnny On Your Bench.

That makes Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron tough fantasy commodities to appraise. Gordon is supremely talented and we've all seen what he's capable of, so he's at worst a flex consideration with pretty big upside.

Cameron, on the other hand, has either been hurt or unproductive for the majority of the 2014 season. At this point in the season, it's far too risky to start him.
