Thursday, Dec. 18
According to a report from Spanish newspaper AS, Alves has missed another team practice.
"They had a preparatory session and all of the first-team players took part in it, except Neymar and Dani Alves, who carried out specific work instead. The Brazilian striker has some discomfort in his left ankle, while the full-back has a hamstring problem in his left leg.

Alves Will Miss Huesca Match
Sunday, Dec. 14
Barcelona announced Alves could miss more matches on top of the Huesca match:
"Dani Alves picked up a hamstring strain in Saturday night’s draw against Getafe which will keep him out of Tuesday’s Cup game against Huesca. The Brazilian wing back was given treatment for the injury during training this morning and his availability for next weekend’s game remains in doubt.
All the available first team players and B team youngster Munir were out training at the Ciutat Esportiva following last night’s game, with Neymar working apart from the rest of the group. The squad will be back in training on Monday in preparation for Tuesday’s game at the Camp Nou.

Alves Removed from Milestone Match
Saturday, Dec. 13
Sport announced Alves' injury following his 200th (h/t Barcastuff):
"Barcelona announced Alves was subbed off after he got a knock on his thigh today. Not yet clear for how long he could be out. [via sport]

The 31-year-old has been Barcelona's designated starter at the right-back position since joining the club in 2008, and he was making his 200th appearance for the Blaugrana on Saturday, per Barcastuff:
"Dani Alves is playing his 200th Liga game for Barcelona #fcblive

The veteran is in the final year of his contract and playing for a new deal, and as reported by the Huddersfield Examiner's Jonas Giaever, Barcelona's options behind Alves are limited:
Should Alves miss a significant amount of time, manager Luis Enrique will likely look at Douglas as his replacement or opt to move to the 3-4-3 Barcelona used in their Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona will face Huesca in the Copa Del Rey in midweek, and defending a 4-0 lead against the lower-league side, the Blaugrana shouldn't be concerned taking the pitch without their star defender.
