Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald's Fantasy Outlook After Drew Stanton's Injury
An up-and-down season for both Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd just got much more difficult. If fantasy owners weren't already worried about their production, they should be terrified of what might be on the horizon.
The Arizona Cardinals were already dealing with losing Carson Palmer for the season, and the reins were handed over to Drew Stanton. On Thursday night against the St. Louis Rams, Stanton went down with a right knee injury, via Arizona's official Twitter account:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports passed along how severe the injury might be for Stanton:
Now, the Cardinals will likely lean on third-string quarterback Ryan Lindley. The 25-year-old has played for Arizona before, passing for 752 yards, no touchdowns and seven interceptions in six games during the 2012 season.
Needless to say, the situation looks like a difficult one for Arizona moving forward if Stanton is unable to return. But the night wasn't all bad for Fitzgerald, as he achieved another huge accomplishment during his career, per Bleacher Report:
Even with the injury to Stanton, Fitzgerald remained the No. 1 option with 10 targets and seven total receptions on Thursday Night Football. While he might not rack up a lot of points from yardage or touchdowns, he still has flex PPR appeal.
Floyd made the most of his three targets and 55 receiving yards, but one of his catches was on a 49-yard reception. If the home run ball is missing moving forward, Floyd's value might also be fleeting. Going against a stout Seattle Seahawks team next week, neither can be trusted with Lindley or Stanton, if he's healthy.
Considering the caliber of the quarterbacks that Fitzgerald has played with in the past, he might still be able to muster up some fantasy points for owners. But with the ominous future that might lie ahead if Lindley is the quarterback, starting either top wideout seems like a desperate move.
