Wife of MLB Pitcher Mat Latos Shows Just How Stressful Trade Rumors Can Be

The MLB winter meetings can cause a lot of uncertainty—for baseball fans as well as players and their families.

With social media providing up-to-the-minute news, sometimes the general public will find out about a trade before the players involved do.

For those who want to know just how stressful trade rumors can be, check out the Twitter feed of Dallas Latos, wife of pitcher Mat Latos.

The Latos family had to deal with rumors at the trade deadline in July. Entering the final season of his contract with the Cincinnati Reds, Mat and Co. knew the 27-year-old right-hander would be thrown around in trade talks this offseason.

With the Reds needing to clear some payroll and find a way to address other needs, Latos was an obvious trade candidate. That added a lot of stress for Mat and Dallas, who recently welcomed a baby boy into the family.

When Fox Sports' Jon Morosi tweeted that Latos was likely headed to the Miami Marlins, Dallas braced herself for a life-changing move:

Although the Latos family may be sad to leave Cincinnati, they can at least relax a little bit now that the trade rumors are over and a deal has reportedly been made. 

Seeing Dallas' tweets should make fans realize that athletes and their families are just like everyone else. An uncertain future can cause a lot of anxiety, so when rumors begin to swirl, their lives can get pretty hectic.

Hopefully the Latos family can enjoy the rest of the offseason now that they know where Mat will be pitching next year.
