Harbaugh Comments on Forsett's Injury
Tuesday, Oct. 13

"So, that's a good sign," Harbaugh said, per Hensley. "It gives him a chance certainly for this week."
Forsett Needed As Ravens Lacks RB Depth
Forsett served as a reserve back for most of his career before arriving in Baltimore last season. The Ravens finally gave him an opportunity to take on a larger role in the offense, and he responded by rushing for over 1,200 yards and appearing in all 16 games.
The latter number was key because there were questions about how a player of his limited size (5'8", 195 lbs) would handle a heavy workload. He exceeded expectations, but now the team needs to await further word about his current setback.
A long-term injury would be concerning for the Ravens because only Forsett and Buck Allen were active at running back for the Week 5 contest, as Ian Rapoport of NFL.com pointed out. Lorenzo Taliaferro missed the contest and has since been placed on injured reserve.
