NFL Injury Report Week 15: Team-by-Team Updates, Inactive List and More

The 2014 NFL regular season has flown by thus far, and fantasy football owners and fans of each team are looking to examine the latest injury reports at a crucial portion of the season.

Not only are football fans looking to see which injuries could affect a team’s ability to make the postseason, but fantasy football owners are also looking at the inactives lists to ensure they start the optimal lineup in the second round of the fantasy playoffs.

Here are the latest news, status updates and team-by-team inactives for Week 15.

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

Status: Inactive

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a car accident on Tuesday, and he suffered two transverse process fractures in his lower back, according to the team’s official Twitter account:

According to Carolina's official inactive list, Newton will not play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Status: Inactive

After exploding with 11 receptions for 259 yards and one touchdown in Week 14, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones injured his hip. Unfortunately for Atlanta and fantasy fans, Jones is listed on the team's inactive list and will not play against Pittsburgh.

Eddie Lacy, RB, Green Bay Packers

Status: Active

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has been a reliable force for the team this year, but he suffered an injury at the end of Week 14’s victory over the Falcons. According to the team's official inactive list, Lacy will play Sunday against Buffalo.

Julius Thomas, TE, Denver Broncos

Status: Active

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was active in Week 14 but did not play a snap all game. While fantasy owners were let down, Thomas is not listed on the Week 15 inactive list and should play Sunday against the Chargers.

DeSean Jackson, WR, Washington Redskins

Status: Active

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson missed Week 14’s loss to the St. Louis Rams with a bruised shin, but he will be active for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, according to the team's official inactive list.
