Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt Should Be the Main Event at WWE TLC

Tom ClarkDec 9, 2014

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt are embroiled in a very intense feud in WWE. The two former faction founders have heat that has resulted in one match thus far at Survivor Series. And now they are heading to their second confrontation at TLC on December 14.

While it's still too early to know who will emerge as the victor, the fact is that many fans are focused on this particular rivalry above all the rest. Indeed even though TLC has what some fans feel to be a stacked card, the truth is that Ambrose versus Wyatt should be the main event.

This is one of those feuds that are definitely worth the price of admission for many of the WWE faithful. The reason for that are the two very separate yet equally entertaining personalities involved.

On one side is Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe has quickly risen to stardom in WWE thanks to his unstable character and his unpredictability in the ring. Ambrose has become one of the most exciting Superstars in Vince McMahon's company because not only is he fun to watch, he's making the product fun again.

Ambrose is effortless in the ring. He is one of those guys that just slides in and takes care of business. He's always on his game and he's very rarely unprepared for a match. He's tough and he's intense but he never appears mechanical or rehearsed.

Fans never quite know what they're going to see when Ambrose is in the ring but they know they will get a show.

On the other side of this feud is The Eater of Worlds. Wyatt has captivated audiences since he entered WWE back in 2013 with his cryptic promos and his supernatural backwoods approach. Wyatt is just creepy and every word he says is a riddle of the one before.

His agenda never seems clear, as he constantly operates in the shadows. He's never been concerned with championships or climbing the ladder in WWE, all he wants is chaos. His twisted psyche keeps a smile on his face and keeps fans guessing.

Bray Wyatt

Though he's supposed to be heel, Wyatt continues to gain popularity with those that appreciate the effort he gives to getting his character over.

They may be different but the truth is that Ambrose and Wyatt are both very entertaining individually. When they come together however, it's the combination of two very dynamic personalities and they have created some very memorable moments thus far.

But the TLC card is looking good and some may question if Wyatt and Ambrose could see the last match on December 14. Of course, several high-profile bouts do not necessarily mean that Ambrose and Wyatt will have to take a backseat.

Kane will be facing Ryback in a chairs match. For the former Director of Operations, the bout is one about redemption, a way to prove he can still dominate in the ring. For Ryback, it's about destroying the remnants of The Authority and showing he's ready for the next level.

Luke Harper will be defending the Intercontinental Championship against the red-hot Dolph Ziggler in a ladder match. This is one that many are looking forward to, as The Showoff has arguably never been better in the ring than he is right now.

And John Cena facing off against Seth Rollins in a tables match could very well be a case of the present versus the future of WWE. Cena's WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot is on the line and Rollins will surely do everything in his power to keep Cena from the belt.

All of these contests have merit and all of them have the ability to perhaps steal the show at TLC.

But the fact is that none of these matches really have the fan interest or the crowd reaction to warrant the main event spot at TLC. Ambrose versus Wyatt is the one that is arguably the most entertaining and the most deserving of the last match at TLC.

Ambrose will surely deliver the manic action he has become known for and Wyatt will provide the sinister mystery. TLC is the best time for the two men to prove that they can handle the spotlight and each man can come out of the night better for the experience.

They may only be one match into their rivalry but Ambrose and Wyatt need the main event spotlight at TLC to show what they can do. WWE is full of young talent that is primed and ready to begin the road to the future and these Superstars are two of the best.
