Hill's Lawyer Comments on Case

Sammie Hill's attorney Ed Garland issued a statement today regrading his client's sexual assault allegations via Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com:

"

This is a completely bogus charge. Sammie did absolutely nothing wrong. We are cooperating fully with the Atlanta police investigation. I expect there to be no charges brought when the truth is known.

Now there is a criminal effort to extort money from him. That's what this amounts to. We may well seek the issuance of a warrant against the complaining party for a scheme to extort money. There is no criminal case.

Hill Told Not to Speak About Case

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean provides comments from Hill:

I didn't take it well, but my lawyer has all the information. I've been told not to talk about it right now. … There's nothing I can do about it right now. I have to let my lawyer talk about it.

Sammie Hill Investigated By Police

Jordan Buie of The Tennessean provided the initial report:

"The Atlanta Police Dept. has been contacted by a female who advised she was sexually assaulted by Sammie Hill, who is a NFL player," the Atlanta PD said in a statement on Monday. "We are working with the female to obtain information about this incident. At this time, the report is not available."

TMZ first reported that Hill was the suspect named in the police report.     

The unnamed woman who made the report initially contacted the Houston Police Department about an alleged sexual assault in Atlanta, and the Houston PD turned the case over to local authorities in Atlanta.

No charges have been filed in the case as of yet.

The Titans later issued a statement on the situation via their Twitter account:

Hill, 28, has started 12 games in 2014, amassing 25 total tackles and two sacks.
