The Chargers' official Twitter account passed along news of the head injury:
Green, 24, has tallied 19 receptions for 226 yards on the season as the backup tight end for San Diego.
The injury came on a Brandon Browner hit to the helmet, which drew a flag and 15-yard penalty. Green lay on the field before being helped off to the sidelines.
In his place, Antonio Gates will have to carry more of the load across the middle. Green's role may have been limited, but his talent will be a huge loss if he's forced to miss time due to the concussion.
